The Beginning – 1990

In 1990, Larry Mauldin moved his family to Lake Oconee. He started offering cultured marble to local builders and remodelers. It all began in his home workshop. People quickly noticed his consistent quality and reliable service. These values shaped Marble Works from day one. Larry always focused on quality materials. He did every job the right way. That built the company’s strong reputation.

A Family Business Grows – 2004

By 2004, Larry’s son Brett joined full-time. Brett grew up in the trade from age 11. He brought strong leadership and fresh ideas. As a result, Marble Works expanded its products. It improved processes too. The company also took on bigger residential and builder projects around Lake Oconee. This step turned Marble Works into a true multi-generation family business with long-term vision.

New Facility, More Capabilities – 2006

As the community grew, demand increased. In 2006, Marble Works moved to a new facility. It covers 115,000 square feet with a showroom. This space has modern machines and room for a bigger team. Therefore, we could handle more volume. We added granite, quartz, tile, and full countertop fabrication. This helped us serve more builders across the region.

Regional Expansion – 2017

In 2017, we expanded into South Carolina. We started serving Aiken and Augusta areas. Our systems were already strong. So, we delivered the same quality and results that Georgia contractors trusted. This move shifted us from a local provider to a regional partner.

Multi-Family & Commercial Growth – 2018

By 2018, developers chose us for multi-family projects across the Southeast. They valued our clear communication and standard processes. In addition, we could deliver at scale without losing quality. This proved Marble Works is both family-owned and corporate-ready. That’s a rare mix in our industry.

Today – Modern Company, Family Values

Today, Brett Mauldin leads as President. Our team includes skilled craftsmen and project experts. We operate in over 28,000 square feet of space. What started as a small family shop is now a regional leader in countertops, cabinets, and multi-family fabrication. However, we still focus on personal service and integrity. These values built our reputation. Now, we combine them with modern technology and professional scale.

We serve Georgia and beyond. We keep the same commitment to quality workmanship, dependable service, and strong relationships.
