In 1990, Larry Mauldin began offering cultured marble to local builders and remodelers out of the garage of his Lake Oconee home. After retiring from a corporate job in Atlanta and relocating his family to the lake, Mauldin saw a lot of potential for growth. He knew that once others discovered the beauty and lifestyle at Lake Oconee, more and more homes would follow. And those homes would need kitchens and bathrooms.

It turned out, he was right. Almost 30 years later, the Mauldin family business, “Marble Works,” has stood the test of time and established itself as a trusted resource in the Lake Oconee community for marble, quartz, granite and tile. The company remains in the family, led by President, Brett Mauldin, and has over 15 full-time employees with 28,000 square feet of Showroom and Manufacturing space in Lake Oconee. In 2017, Marble Works expanded into Aiken, SC, bringing its vision for quality craftsmanship and service to the Augusta and Aiken communities as well.
